The Capachione School is proud to offer one of the most popular performing arts camp of its kind. Our summer camps are divided into three divisions offering camps for children as young as 4 years of age through high school. Spectacular projects, dazzling costumes and Guest Artists are only a few of the many benefits our camps have to offer.

Summer 2010

Teen Camp (Grades 7-12): July 13-Aug. 19 :  An extensive, 6 week course designed for the highly motivated teen who seeks to sharpen their theatrical skills through quality instruction and practical application. Teens participate in a conservatory style setting studing acting, voice and choreography with an opportunity to apply learned skills to a scripted show...The Wedding Singer... under the direction of highly acclaimed teacher and award winning director, Tara McSweeney. The goal of this program is to introduce students to advanced ideas in musical theatre and to do so in a way that promotes a love and respect for the arts while having fun and enjoying oneself. Students will be treated to a master class by a guest artist, a "Dress rehearsal Day Picnic" and optional field trip opportunities.
The camp runs Tuesday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with performances to be held on 8/18 & 8/19.     Tuition $669     (Field Trip options require an extra fee)

Pre-Teen Program (Grades 4-8):   The “not – so – mini” version of Teen Camp. All the excitement and intensity of the teen program with activities adapted to the pre-teen age group. Acting, singing and choreography all play a part in this program helping to foster and nurture the young performer's love of the musical theatre stage. Campers will journey through the exciting process of character development, scene study and choreography using material from popular musicals. The camp runs Mon. - Fri. 9:30am-3:30pm. Public Performances will be held on the last two days of camp.

Children's Theatre Camp (Grades K-4): Enter The World Of THEATRICAL & CREATIVE ARTS through C.S.P.A. Summer Camp For Children. Singing...Drama...Dancing... All Children participate in a performance. "Fun Breaks" everyday can include an ice-cream party, craft activities, fun with parachutes, and more. Camp runs one weeek M-F 9:30 am-12:30 pm Tuition $165.00

Session I July 26th-30th...Pirates and Princesses
Journey to a magical land where Pirates and Princesses work together to uncover the world's largest treasure. Children will sing, dance and act their way to uncovering clues leading them to a treasure chest filled with all they will need to perform a high spirited show for theit friends and family!

Session II August 2nd-6th...The World's Playground
With passports in hand, young camperswill venture to far away lands where they will learn the customs, music and dance of children from around the world. Among our adventures we will dance the Tarentella, sing an Irish folk song, explore the pyramids of Eygpt and so much more. Children will also have an opportunity to sample exotic cuisine from around the world.
